If there is one sure thing about pregnancy, it’s that it’s one of the most beautiful and life changing times in your life. It’s also going to be mildly to ridiculously uncomfortable and make you wonder why no one told you these things beforehand! If you’re lucky you won’t need a new wardrobe for months, and if you’re me, you are going to need an entirely new wardrobe ASAP! So, the first thing you want to do is make sure that you have a few key pieces to ensure you are comfortable, and can enjoy your pregnancy. Now, I went into several maternity shops thinking that the price of maternity clothes would be comparable to my usual clothing, but boy was I wrong! So I made it my mission to find all those cute trendy clothes without having to spend an arm and a leg, and naturally I ended up where we all end up at one point or another– on Amazon.

I personally went with form fitted dresses most of the time, because well… you might as well flaunt that big beautiful belly while you have it, but I had several beautiful flowy dresses as well, and no matter which one I was wearing I was comfortable, happy with how I looked, and happy with the price I paid because dresses and jeans seemed to come at a much higher price than everything else, and I wanted to save my pennies for my baby, not a nine month wardrobe.
Having a couple pairs of super stretchy, lightweight leggings was a lifesaver all throughout my pregnancy (and even afterwards before I lost the baby weight). These leggings were exactly what I needed, they are soft, stretchy, never pushed down too hard on my belly like some of the others I tried, always stay put, were not see through, and are affordable enough that you can buy several pairs.
Like I said, I found the cost of most attractive pregnancy jeans to be a laughable offense, and I didn’t want to break the bank with just one pair, so I shopped around a lot to find ones that were not only flattering but also comfortable throughout my entire pregnancy. I ended up with several pairs that looked great, but my favorite and most comfortable pairs were the ones that cover your entire pregnant belly. The full coverage effectively smoothed out the overall look of my belly, and they flattered every part of me just as my non-pregnancy jeans had.
For those of us who have to shlep all that extra baby weight around through the seven hells of summer, these maternity shorts will at least keep you as cool and comfortable as possible while you’re doing it. They both have several colors and/or designs to choose from and both fit well throughout your entire pregnancy.
I went with a mixture of curve hugging and looser tops, but one thing I didn’t think about until it was too late was never buy a shirt that won’t allow your girls to grow a little too. Some of my favorite tops ended up not fitting by the end of my pregnancy, and ironically it wasn’t my growing belly that made them unwearable, it was my ever growing breasts. These tops are all super cute and flattering, highly rated, came in plenty of colors, and gave me reliable coverage no matter what curveballs my body decided to throw at them.
Finding a super comfortable set of underwear is essential to getting through your pregnancy with your sanity intact, and no matter what your preferred style of panty is, I have you covered–pun intended. All of these panties are super soft, stretchy, never hug you too tight, come in plenty of colors, and held up well in the wash.
Sleeping during pregnancy is hard enough between pregnancy hormones keeping you awake, your growing belly keeping you from sleeping in your usual positions, and your little one deciding to bend it like Beckham just as you’ve decided to settle down for the night, so you deserve some super comfortable pregnancy pajamas that help you sleep easier during those long nine months. While you’re at it, pregnancy pajamas might as well double as nursing pajamas because if you are going to breastfeed your baby then you are going to be whipping out our girls every two hours on the dot, and will need to have easy access via slits or buttons to soothe your fussy babe.
For those of us who upon getting pregnant saw a flash forward of no traveling for the next couple years and decided to take a last minute babymoon (think “honeymoon” for expectant parents), or for those of us who just like to you know… swim or spend our time lounging on the beach, having a swimsuit or two is a maternity must. These are all super cute and comfortable options that come in a ton of colors and designs so you will definitely find what you like here.
